Daddy's Fried Dough, Downtown Crossing push cart. Fried dough, one of the four basic food groups at amusement parks, isn't only restricted to summertime consumption. Most days you can find Robert McIntyre out with his push cart in Downtown Crossing touting his "nutritious" fried dough. We can't attest to the nutritional value of the greasy New England favorite, but we know it definitely tastes great. The safest bet is the basic cinnamon and sugar, but those looking for more exotic variations can try it with apple, cherry or blueberry preserves, or (for a cosmopolitan touch) Bavarian cream.
