Dorothy Alma Dearaujo, 80, of Long Beach, Calif.: Artist who exhibited her watercolors at the Long Beach Art Exhibition and was commissioned to paint a picture of the Queen Mary by a Long Beach official who still has the picture in his office. At age 74, she earned a degree from California State University at Long Beach. She leaves a son.
Gloria Pocasangre de Barrera, 42, of Soyapango, El Salvador: Businesswoman. She had just finished visiting some clients in Boston when she boarded the flight to Los Angeles, where her brother lives. She traveled often between El Salvador and the United States. She leaves her husband and five children.
Robert J. Fangman, 33, of Chelsea: Flight attendant. He had just moved from his native Delaware to Massachusetts in January. He loved dancing and gourmet food and was known for dyeing his cropped hair. He leaves his mother and six brothers and sisters.
Lisa Frost, 22, of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.: Sales and marketing associate for "Where to Eat," a restaurant guide to Boston. She graduated from Boston University last May with academic honors. Jill Epstein, the guide's publisher, said Frost was returning home to her family in California after "getting the next issue to press."
Ronald Gamboa, 33, of Los Angeles: Manager of Gap stores. He was traveling with his partner, Daniel Brandhorst, 42, and their 3-year-old son, David Brandhorst.
Lynn Goodchild, 25, of Attleboro: Was traveling to Hawaii with her boyfriend, Shawn Nassaney, 25. Goodchild always sent co-workers postcards from her trips and returned bearing gifts. This week was Goodchild's third anniversary with Putnam Investments, where she was an administrator for 401(k) plans.
Peter M. Goodrich, 33, of Sudbury: Products manager for MKS Software. He was a six-time indoor track All-American at Bates College in the late 1980s, specializing in the 35-pound weight throw, hammer and discus. His interests ranged from kayaking to folding origami. He leaves his wife, Rachel. "He was the most gentle person," she said.
Douglas A. Gowell, 52, of Methuen: Director of new market technologies at Avid Technologies. He was heading to California to meet a client. He loved music, from jazz to rock, and new gadgets. "He was really curious as to how things worked," said his son, Michael, 25. He also leaves a wife, Barbara, and a daughter, Jessica, 23.
the Rev. Francis E. Grogan of Easton: A priest of the Congregation of Holy Cross for nearly 50 years was enroute to visit his sister in Ramona, Calif. For more than 30 years, he taught high school students and family ministry. He leaves a sister.
