I always look forward to my long, leisurely walk in the Sudbury woods after hosting the Thanksgiving dinner. I am not a Martha Stewart, but I try to provide the "basics" for a special holiday. This walk is a very private and special time for me. It's then that I breathe deeply, and realize that although the holiday ahead brings stress and obligations, I am in total control of this magic walk. I pray for the last flight and noise from the Canada geese (my favorite.) I look at the moss and the red berries at my feet! (Is the moss just naturally green this year? Is it more green because of the season?) This walk recharges me! It reminds me that no silver and tinsel can replace the natural beauty we all take for granted - Mother Nature!
