Getting to the Esplanade Hatch Shell
The Esplanade is the section of the Charles River Basin between the Mass. Ave. and Longfellow bridges. The Esplanade contains playgrounds, lakes and bridges, but its dominant feature is the Hatch Shell bandstand. It is from this bandstand that Keith Lockhart and Seiji Ozawa will conduct the July 4th musical festivities.
