Club Boston Inman/Kendall squares
The B-SIDE LOUNGE Food New American and Southern cuisine, Sun. 5:30-11 p.m; Mon.-Wed. 5:30 p.m.-midnight; Thur. 5:30 p.m.-1 a.m.; Fri. 5:30 p.m.-2 a.m. Music Retro-style jazz and lounge. Cover None Age Fri.-Sat. 21+ after 10 p.m. Atmosphere: The decor looks like a stylish diner circa 1947. The walls are covered in darkly stained wood, the restored tin ceiling is a soft green hue, and the chrome booths are covered in vinyl earth tones. The crowd is almost as stylish as the interior. It's a mix of locals, folks who've ventured down the street from the trendy Inman Square restaurants, and grad students looking for a slightly more grown-up place to sip mixed drinks. Even though the music stays in the background, the chatter on weekend nights can be deafening. - C.M.
KENDALL CAFE Food Dinner until 10 p.m. Music Rock, country, folk, Celtic; mostly local bands. Cover Sun., Mon., Wed. free; Tue. $4; Thur.-Sat. $5. Age 21+ Atmosphere Small, but with such good bookings, who needs elbow room? - A.F.

New Brazilian night on Wed. features programs on both levels. - B.B.
