Atmosphere The name Jose McIntyre reflects the club's Irish-Mexican mix. The knickknacks bridge both cultures, as do the drinks - tequila to Guinness. The two-story club can get cramped and noisy, with few designated drivers in sight.

Atmosphere Guys who don't like to dance will feel at ease. The billiard/night club has 22 pool tables, some very big-screen TVs, and pro athletes regularly stopping by. In early evening, an older, Financial District crowd fills the place. But as the commuter trains leave, the club gets louder, the crowd gets younger, and the dance floor heats up. Monday nights a female pool instructor helps women with their game, finishing up in time for all to catch "Ally McBeal."

Atmosphere Small first-floor bar with modern picture-windows and a chatty crowd. Upstairs is a larger room with some of the best dance-floor lighting in the Faneuil Hall neighborhood.
