301 Q Do you remember the taking of the Dachau Internment Camp?

A Yes, sir.

302 Q I believe your machine gun was placed in a yard where some SS troopers were lined up?

A That is right.

303 Q Who was the gunner on that gun?

A As far as I am concerned, sir, the gun wasn't fired by myself.

304 Q Who was the gunner?

A The gunner was Pvt. Curtin.

305 Q You were the squad leader?

A No, sir, my promotion has just gone through.

306 Q What was your position with the squad that day?

A I was second gunner.

307 Q Was the gun fired?

A Yes, sir, the gun was fired.
