831 Q Please state your name, rank, serial number and organization.

A Fred E. Randolph, Private, 31354762, Company "I", 157th Infantry.

(The witness was advised of his rights under the 24th Article of War.)

832 Q Do you remember the taking of the Dachau Internment Camp?

A Yes, sir.

833 Q What was your job or work in your company that day?

A I was a rifleman.

834 Q Do you know where the crematorium is?

A Yes, sir.

835 Q Did you see a tower along the fence of the main stockade which was in the vicinity of the crematorium?

A Yes, sir.

836 Q Will you describe to me the location of that particular tower with reference to the objects around there?

A The main gate of the stockade was in front where the canal is and you swing around to the left down the canal until you come to the end where the wall is, then you swing to your right and you have the tower.

837 Q Was this particular tower about half way down the side fence of the stockade?

A Yes, sir, it was about half way.

838 Q Was the tower right next to the fence?

A Yes, it was.
