A Yes, sir.

821 Q Do you know how long these men had been prisoners?

A No, sir.

822 Q Did you see them when they surrendered?

A No, sir, they were standing there when I went up.

A No, sir, I can't say they did.

824 Q Did you see them make any effort to escape?

A No, sir.

825 Q Where was Col Sparks when this happened?

A Right by the railroad crossing.

826 Q Did he see this shooting?

A I wouldn't say that he saw it. It might have been that his back was to it, but he certainly heard it.

827 Q Where was he standing when Lt. Walsh called for the BAR, with respect to the position of Lt. Walsh?

A They were standing right together at the crossing.

828 Q Did you see Col. Sparks shoot any Germans that day?

A No, sir.

829 Q The incident that you have described at the Dachau Concentration Camp was when you first started into camp?

829 A We had just gotten into camp, yes, sir.

830 Q Did you see the killing of the Germans on the banks of the canal along the stockade fence?

A No, sir.
