GLOBE BOOK CLUB 'Huck Finn': important racial story or outdated tale? Opinions were split on "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" by Mark Twain. One reader thought the book valuable because it "speaks to our society's continuing struggle with the racial divide and the legacy of slavery." But a student from Malden High School declared, "the book has a good plot, but is too outdated."
