103rd BOSTON MARATHONRoads cleared for the runnersBy Globe Staff, 04/16/99Over the long weekend, the roads of the Back Bay and environs will be a good place for running ... but not driving.
The City of Boston will close the following roads:
Saturday - Dartmouth Street, from St. James Avenue to Boylston Street;
Sunday - Berkeley Street, from St. James Avenue to Newbury Street; along with various street closings in Back Bay, Beacon Hill, and downtown from 8-10 a.m. for the BAA Friendship Run;
Monday - All streets in the vicinity of Copley Square (from 6 a.m.); all streets east of Massachusetts Avenue (10 a.m.); and all streets west of Mass. Ave. (11:30 a.m.).
