Lori Durante

West Warwick, R.I.

A trophy-winning league bowler, Lori K. (Roe) Durante was remembered most as a loving mother, who made her two sons the center of her life. She lived in West Warwick, R.I., with her sons, Anthony Michael, 15, and Matthew Paul, 13. The 40-year-old was a standout bowler in North Kingstown leagues.

Durante was a certified nurse's aide who worked at the Westview Nursing Home in West Warwick as a medical technician. "She was a devoted, loving mother," said ex-husband Anthony Durante. "She attended all of their games. She was their most avid supporter. Her life revolved around the boys."

After she divorced, Durante moved from the Nottingham Drive home she had shared with Anthony. Former Nottingham Drive neighbors remember her as a mother full of joy.

"She was always a happy person. Always with a smile on her face," said former neighbor Michael Simko.
