Sandra Templeton and Fiona Benington, officers of the Police Service of Northern Ireland, walked along Springfield Road near the New Barnsley police station. The PSNI force, which has been reduced from 13,000 to 9,000 officers under the Good Friday agreement, does not have the staff or budget to investigate Northern Ireland's more than 1,800 unsolved murders, according the chief constable.
