Iona Meyer, sitting by the River Lagan, is part of a nascent movement exploring the idea of establishing a truth and reconciliation commission to heal the rift between Protestants and Catholics. Iona's husband, Gary, an officer of the Royal Ulster Constabulary, was gunned down in broad daylight in 1990. The IRA claimed responsibility.
