The British military presence in Belfast � though less visible � still pervades. Troopers patrolled the rooftops of Belfast's Ardoyne Shops, where the Orange Order's Tour of the North parade was set to pass on June 20. This interface had been the scene of sectarian violence in years past. On this night, only a few rocks and bottles were thrown and the crowds dispersed around midnight.
